ndrea Lee is an emerging star on the LPGA Tour, highlighted by her first victory in the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee was a winner on all levels. She won nine matches in her college days at Standford University. She also was able to stay for 17 weeks straight in the top spot in the women's amateur World ranking. After winning the Mark H. McCormack Award as the top-ranked Women's Amateur in the world after the end of the 2019 season Lee decided to go pro. Andrea Lee was born on 15 August 1997 in Los Angeles. James James taught her when she was 5 years old to play golf. As a young girl, she started competing in events. She won 50 titles as a junior in only four years. She was able to make the cut at this year's US Women's Open, held at Pinehurst No. Her dad was her caddie, she was only 15 at the time of this. She was invited by sponsors to play at the year 2015 ANA Inspiration LPGA Tour, however, she was not able to make the cut. Lee was a member of the United States' Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup, and Women's World Amateur Team Championship. In her first year at Stanford University in 2016, Lee became the school's most popular player at that point. She was awarded nine championships over the course of three seasons. Lee completed her degree in 2018, left Stanford University for the professional world. Her amateur golf career saw her stay for 17 weeks at leading the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee also received the Mark H. McCormack Award in 2019, following her completion of the year at the top of amateur ranking. Lee's record for amateur play included four holes in one as well as one albatross. Her first year she finished with two top-10 places. She came in seventh at the AIG Women's Open 2020, held in the Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee was the first woman to win her debut LPGA Tour win in the 2022 Portland Classic.
